Four traces

The mystery she left behind.

I

The lace

Her patterns are still here. No one knows how to read them. But someone, one evening, might find what she wrote.

II

The glass

On the long table, a glass is set for you. Cork in place. Old label. No one remembers when it was put there.

III

The closed room

Six bedrooms for the night. A seventh, that doesn't open right away. She decides when.

IV

The threshold

Madame's notary waits at the gate. He has the first key. The house takes care of the rest.

An unusual place

An unusual Escape Game Hotel
in Northern France.

An overnight escape game with lodging, yes. But more than that. One night, several experiences. You play, you sleep, you taste, you discover. Les Granges fits no single category.

As a lodge: six bedrooms for the night, on top of the eleven game rooms. Made beds, quiet sleep after the adventure. At the table: local drinks and hearty Cambrésis cooking, a shared dinner mid-evening, morning coffee. As a game: Les Secrets de Béthencourt, a seven-hour overnight escape game designed by Chasseurs de Mystères.

And around it all, a heritage that quietly inhabits the place: Caudry lace, local breweries, Matisse country. A cultural retreat as much as a leisure escape.

Conversation

One night, an estate, a story to crack open.

At a glance

The Granges, in 3 questions.

What is The Granges?

The Granges (Les Secrets de Béthencourt) is the first Escape Game Hotel in Hauts-de-France (Northern France), located in Béthencourt in the Cambrésis region (Nord). It is an 18th-century 650 m² manor with its barns, where 6 to 12 players live a narrative escape game over 2 days and 1 night: play from dusk to dawn, dinner on site, bedrooms in the manor, breakfast the next morning. Opening in September 2026.

Where is The Granges?

The Granges is in Béthencourt, in the Cambrésis area, Nord département (59), Hauts-de-France region of Northern France. About 1 hour from Lille, 1 hour 45 minutes from Brussels and 2 hours from Paris by car. Nearest train stations: Caudry, Cambrai-Ville and Le Cateau.

What makes The Granges unique?

To this day, no other operator in Hauts-de-France combines an escape game with a real on-site hotel stay.
